1. Who is responsible?

LaventeCare, the sole proprietorship of Jeffrey Lavente, is the controller for personal data processed through this website and its business contact.

2. What data do I process?

• Contact and intake details: name, email address, optional telephone number, company, project request, budget, timing and message.
• Request context: the page and package from which you contacted me.
• Technical and security data: IP address, browser information, timestamps and security events where needed to keep the service safe.
• Account data and necessary session cookies when an authorised user signs in.
• Consent choices and, only after consent, analytics or marketing data.

3. Why and on what basis?

• To answer a request and prepare a quotation: steps before entering into a contract.
• To perform an agreement, deliver support and administer a customer relationship: performance of a contract.
• To secure, diagnose and improve the website: LaventeCare’s legitimate interest in a reliable service.
• To keep invoices and legally required records: compliance with a legal obligation.
• To load optional analytics or marketing tools: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. How long is data retained?

• An enquiry that does not become an assignment: no longer than 12 months after the last substantive contact.
• Quotation, project and customer correspondence: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards only as long as necessary for claims or administration.
• Invoices and mandatory financial records: 7 years.
• Routine security logs: normally no longer than 90 days, unless an incident requires longer retention.
• Cookie consent choices on your device: 6 months, after which consent is requested again.

5. Service providers and transfers

LaventeCare uses carefully selected providers for hosting, security, email delivery, analytics and business administration. These may include Vercel for website hosting and performance services, the LaventeCare backend hosted on Render, and configured Microsoft or Google email services.

Providers only receive data needed for their task and are bound by contractual and security requirements. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, LaventeCare relies on an applicable adequacy decision or contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Personal data is not sold.

6. Cookies and measurement

You can reject optional categories without losing access to the website. Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to change or withdraw your choice.

• Necessary storage: consent preferences and, for authorised users, secure authentication and CSRF protection.
• Vercel Analytics: only after analytics consent.
• Google Tag Manager or other marketing tools: only after marketing consent and only when configured.
• Vercel Speed Insights: privacy-focused technical performance measurement without advertising profiles.

7. Your privacy rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send your request to jeffrey@laventecare.nl. I may ask for information needed to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

8. Security and automated decisions

LaventeCare applies data minimisation, encrypted transport, access controls, logging and security updates appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

The website does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
